Paradise for Paws

We rescue from highly dangerous situations in Kern County. We then evaluate, give all shots, microchipping, and spay or neuter as required. Our rescue is foster based, meaning that all dogs are housed in homes so we are able to evaluate their temperament, and identify the best possible home setting for each pet.  All applications are screened and approved by the board; adoptions are not a first come/first serve basis. We want to ensure each pet and pet parent finds the PAWfect fit for their family. 

Founded in 2014 after seeing a need for a nonprofit dog rescue in Ridgecrest area we forged an alliance to help animals in our community. We have grown exponentially since our founding. We host events within the community, provide low cost and free microchip and shot clinics routinely, and provide food to those in need from our pet food pantry. Our organization is run entirely by volunteers, and all funds raised go right back to caring for the rescue dogs, and providing resources to animals in our community. 

We fight to reduce the over crowding and euthanizing of adoptable pets in our shelters through education, spay and neuter, vaccinations, and microchips. We also provide assistance with lost and found animals, plus disaster relief for pets. Animals are often abused, neglected or killed and we aim to help relieve that. Each pet rescued by Almost Eden is spayed, neutered, micro chipped, updated on vaccines and rehabilitated if necessary. Our ultimate goal is to find the loving forever homes these animals need and deserve.
